Where is it? At an auction here in 1998, a JD 300 36' elevator brought $1750. A 45' is advertized in the Lancaster Farming newspaper by a dealer in Red Lion, PA, he wants $2000 for it. But if you're somewhere like South Dakota, it may only be worth $50 . . . . .

As Tim says, location is everything. Here in Minnesota, a good wide (handles a small square bale in it) will go $300-600. If they don't handle a bale, under $100.

If you live in an area where ear corn is still picked, smaller farms, and small square bales are used, value is up. All large cash grain farms - no value.
