Can anybody tell me anything about these loaders?
I have a Ford 3000 with an old Freeman loader that has a small 4' bucket and single acting lift cylinders. I'd like to upgrade to a heavier duty loader with better controls. A local fellow has a Farm Hand loader for sale(he thinks the model number is 22c) that he originally had on a Ford 3910. I have no problem with adapting it as long as it will physically fit and is an appropriate size for my tractor. It's only had 4 years of residential use. He wants $1500 for the whole setup including the control valve. I haven't looked at it yet, but he says its in almost new condition. I don't know anything about this loader, so any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Jim Vogel

The Farmhand 22 loader is the same as the older Dunham-Lehr 22 loaders. Farm Hand evidently bought the Dunham-Lehr loader line. These are a quick-attach type loader. They have one hydraulic cyinder mounted in the center of the bucket for bucket tilt. I have one of the Dunham-Lehr 22's on a Oliver 1650. Used to have it on a John Deere 4030. They are decent loaders. By the way, $1500.00 is a GOOD buy, if the condition is good. You may have to get the proper brackets for your tractor, or adapt the originals to your tractor. Brackets are available from Agco's Farmhand dealers. Check with them to see if this loader will fit your tractor.

Never heard of a 22c Farmhand loader, but I can give my experience with several other Farmhand loaders. We currently have a 270 quick tach on our 544 Farmall that works great. Fairly tough built loader, the only problems we have had are with the mounts, because there should be a couple more pieces that we didn't get for some reason. We also have a 235 quick tach on our 1256. That is a great loader and the only time we have ever broken anything is when we get too rough with it (pushing snow or loading manure with an 8' bucket).

I personally like the F-11 Farmhand for use on a midsize tractor, they have good reach and lift.

Sounds like a good price if it is in good shape.
