I am curious about what the going price is for used International drills and CASE IH drills I am talking about end wheel drills. Just a single drill not double or triple hitch with plain grain boxes either doulbe or single disc double run or flute feed. What would be some fair prices to pay for these drills if they are not rusted bent up and welded up peices of junk and might only need things like new discs tires paint exc?

An 18 row, 7" spacing, double-disk CaseIH 5100 (new in 1987), soybean special (no fertilizer), with press wheels, grass box, always shedded, looked nice with 90% disks, sold for $4000 at auction last March in eastern PA. An older 510, single disk, grass box, no fertilizer, no press wheels, 16 x 7, almost new disks (drilled 25 acres wheat after replacement), a little weathering, but not bad, sold for $1750 at a different auction, same area. For a nice, fully-equipped 5100 soybean special, $3000-$4000 is what they're worth in my area. 510s tend to go in the $2000-$2500 range if double disk, less if single disk. Go to Ironsearch and run a query, that'll give you prices all over the US and Canada.

Thank you for the information the IH and CASE IH drills are the best built. They do have an excellent resale value it sounds like they are bringing big bucks compared to other brands.

Saw one in this week's Lancaster Farming newspaper. 5100 24x6 soybean special, press wheels, grass seed, mounted on Unverferth Culti-Caddy, $5000.
