I plan to build a 7'x14' dump trailer. Can anyone help me with the placement of two(2) hydraulic cylinders to get the dump angle of 45 deg. and (length & size) for a 8000# capacity. Also, what about double acting cylinders for the same?
The last ?? is a source for the hydraulics, any suggestions?

Thanks, Howard

You might want to consider finding an old dump truck box and use that hoist and frame. I've picked up a couple (5 yard?) for about a hundred bucks each. Mine had St. Paul hoists on, for which parts are still available. I split the pto pump away from the hoist, and added hoses and a check valve, and use tractor hydraulics to power the hoist. The hoist is made of heavy cast parts, stronger than hoists on farm wagons, and has an extremely high dump angle.
