Are there any companies that make plow shares/moldboards for antique plows?

I have a 2-16 CASE centenial plow with the genuine CASE plow shares moldboards and landsides on it and do not like putting wear on them when I use it in the garden. I know that replacing them would be difficult. Does anyone know of a company that makes plow parts for the old plows? It would be nice if they did so that the originals do not have to be used. Thanks.

IN sugar creek ohio there is a amishman who has the pattern for a lot of the old plow parts. He sends them out to a commercial foundry and has them made as his inventory is depleated. I stopped there on way home on a cross country trip. He shipps by ups often and they might be able to give you his correct name and address. From memory his goes either by erb plow works or s and e plow works. I bought shares and shins for a jd trailer plow when i was there last june. If i find my reciept i will post the correct address.

i have read where some guys have found other more modern styles that will fit by putting the newer style of bottom on the old plow frame. and there is a place that makes a hard plastic covering that goes on older moldboards. but wouldnt work on the shares! but there are some hidden people and places where you might find the shares, wore, rusty, but might be a little better ,less wore, and might last long enough for you to do the amount of plowing you need done. it depends on what you want, how much you want to plow, whether or not you want plow to be "correct" or not. might even consider buying a newer plow for plowing iand have the old one to 'collect' hope i helped a little bit.

there is a company in ga. i believe that if t=you send them the part will make a casting and make a new part. i would imaginge it is pricey but if you have a cast peice that you need replaced , that might help in the future. maybe them or some enterprising amish will start a nbusiness making new shares.

That is interesting I imagine that the custum made castings are an exapensize item. And it sure would be nice if someone made plows parts for old antique plows. Thanks for the help.

I'm not sure of a supplier, but I ain't sure what a metal fabricating shop would cost. Have you checked to see if they will match up to newer (meaning 50's-up) plows? other than that, I am not sure.

I have comapared the old plow shares and moldboards and they are different and the hole patterns are different. But if I had to I could drill new holes in the frog to accomodate the new style shares and moldboards but interestingly the landside bolt hole pattern is the same as the new style so they will fit it. Thanks for the help.
