I bought this brush / bush hog at auction, have not yet taken delivery. Any idea what brand this old thing might be?

Seller said there was NO identifying marks on it at all.

Any help is appreciated. I paid $200.

It appears to be a be a standard duty Woods 5' cutter. The half pipe or roll in the deck stamping is charateristic of the woods design. The website is Link it appears Woods has changed their design in the last year or two. If it has a slip clutch loosen the bolts and make sure it is not frozen before you operate it. They are bad about freezing up when stored outside.

Thanks! I was not sure of the make as the new models do not look like that.

I will also make sure the clutch is functional if it has one, and if not I
will make sure the shear-pin is correct. I fear from reading about the
older Woods models that this may have the straight 'lawn mower' type of
blade, rather than the two or more swivel blades attached to a disc. I will
know when I get the delivery and dump her up-side down.

Thanks again for the info.

hard to tell in the picture but looks like it could be a woods brand. i have on and the color is the same but mostly the deck and rear wheel look familiar.

Thanks, you and John have been a great help. It cut a corn field last year so it was functional then at least.
