Sorry about another sickle bar mower question! I have a Ford 515 sickle bar mower with a 7' cutter bar. I'm guessing it weighs somewhat less than the average 5' bush hog (550lbs), but I'm not sure. The tractor picks it up easy. Has anybody ever weighed a sickle bar mower or know what the specifications claim this weighs?

Thanks! That sure is neat. It also answers some questions. The mid mount mower was the Ford 502, not 516, and uses the wobble shaft like the 515 (so it is odd that they didn't call it the 516). It also looks like I'm missing one small part, the bracket with a pin that the breakback arm attaches to (I have the arm and was wondering where it attached). I should be able to make one fairly easily. It’s also interesting to learn that it came in a 6’, 7’, and 8’ version. Do you measure the full length of the bar? I measured between the 2 farthest guards and it’s a couple inches short of 7’. Anyway, the 7’ mower must be in the middle of that weight range, which is 506lbs.
