I have a PT 10 haybine with a bad gearbox. It's inside the rear of the tongue. How do you remove it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just wondering how it went getting the gearbox out and back in? Our PT 7's gearbox just puked yesterday. Ripped it out this morning and took the shaft out that snapped. Dropped it off at a local machine shop and should be able to pick it up tomorrow. It wasn't bad to pull, but I think it will be harder to install with both the shafts sticking out of the box.

Sam, you should be able to get at the gearbox
from the bottom side, it's open. There are four
bolts on the top where the oil level dipstick is
located. Remove them and it will drop and you'll
have to deal with the shafts, front and side.
