I have one of these rakes and am getting ready to give it a good going over. They were red with green wheels, The red is real close to the old massey harris red the green is real close to the deutz green they used on some of their tractors and implements. I got it from the original owner who bought it new he said it was a great rake, he just didn't like moving it down the road any more with all the yuppies moving into town as they seem to have a problem with farmers clogging up their nice country roads. My wife's uncle has 2 of them that he has drug out of fields and restored (except for paint). He restored them to use them...still prefers them over anything newer he has. I think he told me once that they were red and green. He even knew which parts were red and which were green but I've forgotten and he's unavailable now. He's serving a church mission in upstate New York. If you're in that part of the country I could tell you how to find him. He'd enjoy talking about it. He's retired from farming now.
