Does anyone know what would be the best choice for a front end loader for a 1975 4430 with cab. (possibly who you would trust to get a good deal on one). What is the best type of contol - using existing remotes or installing a new valve and joystick?

Thanks

A jd 148 is a good choice for general work, a 158 would be better if you need more lifting height, but makes your tractor longer and harder to get into tight spots. Using either a joystick or the tractor scv is up to you, are you going to use this tractor for any field work where you might need a scv or two, and how much are you going to use this, a joystick is very handy but it does take some room up in the cab, you could add another scv to run other implements and doesn't clutter up your tractor, also did you consider a quiktach mounts, factory mounts for 148/158 aren't bad either, eight bolts, three pins, and your hose and its off, when I was younger dad wasn't off the seat very long and he was climbing back on to remove the tractor from the loader, my brother and me each took a side and in a few minutes the loader was off with wrench and ratchet, Good luck chris
