Anyone out there know what a Deerborne 10-1 Plow is worth. There is one coming up at auction and I would like some idea as to what it might be worth. It is pretty rusty, one share has been welded and the other has a small piece out of it. The rest is all there and looks O.K. it still has the original Deerborne plate and #. on it.

There were alot of different bottoms the dealer could bolt on to the 10-1 frame for different soil conditions, check the number stamped on the back of the moldboard to see how much the parts cost and if available. The plows bring 150.00-350.00 in the northeast.

I wouldn't go very high on the plow that you have described, especially if you plan to use it to do some real plowing. I own one and managed to break off one of the share points. I checked with several farm stores, but none carried that share anymore. I finally went to the New Holland dealer, who ordered me a single share that cost about $140! His comment was "I didn't think they made any that expensive." Unfortunately, I am going to have to have another one, because I can't get the plow to balance right with one new share and one half worn one. And then I will have more into new shares than I had in the plow originally. In its defense, it plowed well before I broke that tip off, and I am sure it will plow good again.

The following are posts I saved from the Ferguson Board. I have a Ferguson plow and from what I understand they are similar. Give this guy in Ohio a try. His prices are a lot better than dealership prices.

I have found someone who makes Ferguson Plow Share points. He apparently bought the original specs and still makes them. Joe Erb

Now we can all plow again!

THANKS!!! to all you guys for the help.I knew I could count on you for help. After some calling around, an implement dealer said he could get them for me. I talked to the Gentleman at SugarCreek Ohio and his price was $35 each for cast iron, and $80 apiece for steel. The implement dealer is getting me steel ones for $64. Sounds high to me, but i guess if you want them, you pay for them. Again, thanks for all of your help
