Looking at purchasing a aftermarket 3 point hitch for my baby (1950 Farmall H) and after researching the internet I found a couple of them that interests me. Saginaw and Jones Salvage. One offers two cylinders and the other offers one or two. What do you guys recommend? I will be mostly using a bush hog and a scraper blade. Also, there are a few different sizes of bush hogs, 4', 5', 6' mowers. What size would you recommend to buy. I got about a 2 1/2 acre pasture I want to keep mowed. Thanks..
Ray..

I bought a saginaw hitch. I am very happy with it. Excellent construction & design. Good luck, Irv

I would go with a 5 or 6'. Depends really how thick you are gonna let the pasture grow up. If it's gonna be real tall and thick go 5', otherwise I think an H can handle a 6 in not so thick of weeds, though someone may say different. I think a 5' would be more narrow than the tractor, depending on how you had your wheels spaced. Also, with the blade, if you are going to be using it to maintain a gravel road, get a heavy one, it will work alot better than the light ones.

Have heard many good things about the saginaw hitches. They look to be built really stout - I would go with one of those.

Go with the saginaw. It is well built and works great. You can take a look at one on my 52H at http://www.angelfire.com/mi2/aerohead
I also put bought the spool valve and put down presure on mine. Makes a world of diff. Now if I just had live hyd. I would have the ultmate tractor.
