A year or so ago there was a discussion on this site re using a bush hog to cut/condition hay. I've lost track of the info. Any timely suggestions appreciated. I'll be cutting alfalfa timothy. Thanks

i cut my hay with a bush hog. i have bahia grass and can cut one day and rake and roll it the next day. the bush hog cuts the grass finer and it dries faster. so far no problems doing it this way. i'm not sure, but i would think a bush hog would tend to tear off a lot of the alfalfa leaf.
