I have a belly mower on my case VAC. My ground is not very hilly so this mower has worked very well for me. Unfortunatly I broke a blade and now I cannot find replacements. There is no sign of a serial # or brand name on the mower. I have taken one of the blades to 5 different dealers and no one has been able to find it. This mower has two spindles with two 14in down swept blades on each spindle head. A number stamped on the blade has the letters REX some of the #s are no longer legible. I was hoping I would not have to buy a whole new mower. If anyone can help please reply.

If the blade is really old, the #'s may be worn. If you haven't all ready, try to clean up the area with the #'s on a bench grinder that has a wire wheel on it, though I know that they can get wore off after lots of use cutting grass. You might want to try a metal fabricating shop and see what they might charge to make you some blades, then once you get one, have them make a bunch, though I have no idea what this would cost, it may be cheaper and easier than changing out spindles and all that.

Blades are fairly generic (assuming you have one-piece blades)
If you know the length, hole size (and spacing if more than one hole, rotation and width(if it must fit between shoulders on the mounting flange), then
someone such as landscapersupply.com may be able to help you. They have a broad selection of blade configurations, however they will probably not be able to look up your application as they mainly serve the landscape market. Another choice is to consider changing out the blade mount on the shaft to one for a known blade configuration. Again, you will need to know some dimensions.
