I have a Ford side mount sicklebar but need mounts to fit my NAA (the mounts are for an earlier tractor). Any suggested sources? Also, sources for a manual showing the mounts would be helpful in case I have to build them myself. Even photos OK. I also need the PTO pulley.

Paul:

I'd start with your local New Holland dealer. I've got an old rear mount sicklebar mower, and my local dealer has been very good about researching parts for me. There have been very few that are unavailable, although a few of the major parts are pretty pricey.

Second place would be to call New Holland and buy the operator's and parts manuals. They sell reprints for all the old Ford and Dearborn stuff and the price for manuals is reasonable. Call them at 800-635-4913...takes about 2 weeks to get the manuals; price depends on the size, but I think mine have averaged about $8 or $9 each.

As paul said, do you have a model #? Is this a Ford or Dearborn mower. I have a parts book that covers some side-mounted Dearborn mowers made in the 1950's. After I get through hay season, I could copy sheets and send them to you. My understanding is that the Dearborn mowers were made for Ford by Detroit Harvester -- as I think were some of the early Ferguson mowers.

Do you have a model number? Can't help you, I'm only familiar with the 3-point mount mowers...

The mounting brackets have a Ferguson name plate, I'll check out the model number. Regardless, they don't fit my NAA. I have an operators manual for a model 14-77 (for 600 & 800 series Fords) and aside from the brackets, the mower itself looks identical.

What I am looking for are the bracket configurations for a NAA. Since I don't know the model number(s) associated with the NAA, I am not sure which manual to order (the New Holland web site lists several for the NAA)

Any help is appreciated.
