Does anyone know the trick to replacing the bearing in the pitman drive box on one of these older mowers? This is in the box which is driven by the V belt from the PTO pully above. Can't seem to figure out how to get get the counter weight pully off and get inside to the bearings. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Larry, if this is the same style as the 2-point mower for the SUPER-C there is a hole in the shaft that is accessible throught the fill or drain plug holes. I don't recall exactly but I believe that everything is right-hand thread. Just make sure that you use a pin or rod that doesnot tend to bend or break, you also may have to heat the nuts after soaking them awhile.
