Could anyone tell me where I could get a pair of grubbing tongs? They are used to get ahold of sprouts, etc. and rip them out of the ground by pulling with a tractor. If memory serves correctly the harder you pull they tighter they grip the object. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you ever find the grubbing tongs? I need to know if they worked for you and where you got them and what they cost

Well, actually the tongs I was talking about are different. They are intended to be used to pull small saplings, brush, multiflora rose, etc. out of the ground. I've used logging tongs like those in the link to lift saw logs with. One fellow was nice enough to send me a link to Cumberland General Store in TN and it appears they do offer the grubbing tongs as well as log liftiing tongs.

Couldn't help but chuckle when I saw that link.
I have a pair of tongs just like that hanging from the ceiling on my back porch.
I use them to hang my deer on when I butcher it.
They'd probably lift a couple tons.
Never had a deer that big enough to strain them though.
