We need to put new seals in the gear box, but can't get the output shaft out of the gear box. The nut and washer are off, but the shaft won't pull out. Since it sits in a cast box, we don't want to get too rough with it and break the box. Is there a trick to this, or do you need a special puller? Any help will be appreciated. res

Yes, finally. Take the universal off of the front drive shaft, take the top off of the gear box, remove snap ring off of drive shaft, push shaft back enough to remove the key, then the drive shaft pulls out. Take the nut off the other shaft, snap ring (same procedure), push shaft back, remove key and this shaft will come out. The front shaft has to go first. Hope this helps. res
