I"ve also got a couple Emerson plows--a one bottom and a two bottom. I was also wondering when they were made, how long Emerson was in business, if they went out of business or got bought out by somebody, and what color(s) were the plows originally painted. Any information would be appreciated.

Thank you

Hello,
Check out this web site for emerson history:

Link

Generally as for colors.....Kryon Regal Red for most of the plow. Krylon Meadow green for the wheels. Black on the moldboards.

I have a one bottom sulky plow with original paint from early 1900's or late 1800's. It is red but the wheels were black.

Emerson was around from mid 1800's until 1928.
