A little more description might help....

What about seed boxes and fertilizer bins? Metal or fiberglass? What do the press-wheels behind the runners look like? Rubber-tired, or metal? Is the main "frame" of the planter a pipe with heavy plate welded to the ends to form the basic structure, or is it all angle iron?

If it's got fiberglass bins and seed boxes, rubber-tired press wheels, and a heavy pipe frame, it could well be a model #56.

John: Thanks for the reply. The fert. boxes are fiberglass and the seed boxes are galvanized steel. The frame is angle iron. It also has Gandy boxes (2)and rubber tired press wheels. Also has double disc openers. Hopes this helps.

Post a picture, and I'll bet someone can ID the thing. From your description, I'd say it was a late 1950s - to mid 1960's model.
