That old Case 133 I've been using took a lot of time this year, figuring and fixing. The top twine(mine ties horiz.)hasn't caused a problem for maybe 600 bales now, where it was the main problem. The bottom twine would miss tie about 1/90 bales for a while. I switched that to the 170lb. twine(same as the top) and I finished with 517 bales without a single bad tie. I also re-routed the belt from the engine and it handles considerably heavier windrow loads now. Someone had run the idler on the inside of the belt taking away the benefits of constant spring tension under load and the increased belt wrap gained from the idler on the outside of the loop. I need to build or buy a better muffler and rework the cooling shroud to stop the massive vibration movement. The hitch will be lowered a bit as it's too high now for the ball mount I'm using. Hope you guys end up with good working equiptment too. Loren.
