Can someone tell me the different loaders that were available for the "N" tractors. I need to be able to tell them apart as I'm going to check two out. Thanks DaBrow.

DABROW! I see you all the time on the N-board! Good advice! loved the response to how did you get your N!! I have seen at least two types of loaders for Ns. The ONE ARMED BANDIT and the TWO ARMED TRUSS TYPE. They apparently came with and without external pumps. If they used the internal pump, it was plumbed off the right side of the rear case.(there is a plug there on late model Ns) the external pumps ran all the time(of course)
A good place to look at them is Palmer Fossums farm in MN. The internal pumps used a mechanical trip to dump. The external pumps could have double-action cyls on the bucket. We had the internal, mech trip when I was a kid. got pretty good feeding silage with it, steered mostly w/brakes(wet concrete lot w/lots of manure). we had car tires on front axle and NO counter-weight!
