I have a 501 rear mower for sale, but I have no idea what I should be asking for it. Could someone give me some idea of an asking price for this I would greatly appreciate it. It is still in working order, but could use a little work.

Thanks,

Paul

Granted I won't buy something unless it is really cheap, but I just bought an extra clean 501 with new sections and a new belt, to use as a back-up to my swather, at consignment in mid-Tn. this past spring for $115. I have used it behind a 1900 Japanese compact, and they are simply made for each other.
No frills, just another example of good old fashioned functionality.

In west-central Maryland, it'd run somewhere around $400-$600 if it is in working shape.

There's a guy around here that has 2 or 3 of them for sale. He's asking between $1,000 and $1,500 each. He's had them for sale for about 4 years if that tells you anything!

I see them go $200 - 500 in southern MN. All depends where you are.
