Can someone help me? I have a planter that the paint is orange or red with black pinstripping. It had very detailed scrollings on the planter boxes. It has a capitol "B" on the handle to set the depth. It has steel wheels. I have the roll of check wire that has Pat 1843 and 1844 stenciled on it. That is all the writing on it I can find. I would like to know what kind it is. Can anyone help me???

I have a two row planter and I don't know the brand name. I believe it was once a horse drawn planter. The plates that are in it the serial number is D4231. I think these are bean plates. I would like to locate corn plates for this planter any help would be appreciated. or where to look.

Give more information. Wood Frame or steel, 2 or 4 row, round or square seed boxes, fertilizer yes or no, lift-clutch or hand

Russ,

Here is a brief discription on how to e-mail me the pictures----

1-Take your pictures and then download them onto your computer into a folder and save them with what ever name you would like to use.

2-To attach them to a e-mail, click on my name (Old Iron) at the top of this post. This will open your e-mail program.

3-To attach the pictures to the e-mail, hit the attach button. I don't know how you have your e-mail program set up so the rest of this is going to be how I have to do it on my computer----

A-Double click on "My Computer".

B-Double click on your "C" drive.

C-Double click on the folder you have saved the pictures in.

D-Double click on the picture. This will attach the picture to the e-mail you would like to send.

If you have more than one picture you would like to send, click on the attachment button again. It should open right to the folder you have the pictures saved in.

To show pictures on this forum you have to have a place to upload the pictures to. If you like I could upload them to one of my web pages and post them here for you.

If your still having trouble send me a e-mail with your phone number. I will be happy to give you a call and walk you through it.

Russ,

Sorry but by the discription I can't help you out. Do you have any pics handy of the planter and of the planter boxes?

Old Iron.

Im like Old Iron. I can only give you a clue, ionb opposite ways. lol. first, the B could stand for Blackhawk. Sec ond theyddnt know what a blackhawk planter was i the 1840s, but on the otherhand, they didnt know what check wire was back then either. Good luck
