I am fixing up an old deo 20 side delivery rake and I found some rake teeth at my local Agri-supply that fit perfect but instead of a coil like the original teeth they have the tooth coming out of a rubber boot, any have any experience with this type?

Have the 'rubber' mounted type on my JD rake..do alright if you don't let them 'drag' the ground very heavy. Uneven ground is tough on them - do good to get one season out of them (rubber mount will stay with the rake - but the tooth itself will pop out of the rubber, good flat pasture where you can get the rake height set to just barely touch the ground but not 'hit' it, they last pretty good.

No experience with the rubber units. My local MF dealer has a bunch of the exact replacement teeth in a box labeled "Old style Massey rake teeth". He charges $1.20 each for them. I have a DEO-25.

Let us know how you like the rubber ones.

I have rubber mounts on a John Deere rake. Have raked about 600 acres lost two teeth. From heavy fescue to light grass and clover. Just do not let them ride heavy on the ground. Sid in SW MO
