I just acquired a Ford 535 Mower Conditioner. It looks to be in good shape, and I also realize that it is the same machine as a Massey Ferguson 81 Mower Conditioner and also the New Idea 290 Mow/ditioner.

I have some concern however in using this machine. I have been using a Ford 501 sickle bar mower, and know that there are a few places in my pastures where the sickle bar hits spomething (top of a hidden stump / rock what-have-you) and the break-away feature activates to save damage on the cutter. I don't have the manual, and see no such wonderful built-in fail-safe feature with this Mower Conditioner. Do any of you know if it has such a feature to prevent damage to it?

By the way, it looks new with the paint still all there (some shiney) and no dings or rust anywhere. I paid my neighbor $50 for it. He now uses a rotary model mower.

Thanks,
Eaglewerks
