Mark,

The 46 baler was available both as a wire baler and as a twine baler. They were built in the 50's. I don't think they carried over to the 60's but they may have still been being built in the early 60's.

Mark I agree it is prabably mid 50's to early 60's. It is probably a twine bailer, should say on the decal on the baler chamber side I think. I have one that I just acquired from a farmer and bailed 200 hundred bales missed about 25 that I had to rebale but it needs some adjustment. You should be able to get an operators manual reprint from the nearest IH dealer for about 12 dollars. Good luck. Dan

You could get it in wire or twine. You will have to look at it.
that baler probly goes back to the 1955 to 60's time frame.
