Hi! Was wondering if you still have this mower? I have one and may be interested in it for parts. Please email me if it is still available. I appreciate it!

I think your heart is in the right place, Ed. :)

Here's the problem. Folks come here, to this specific message forum, to ask questions, help others with questions, and read replies to questions, so that they can learn how to use farm implements. That's kind of fun, and when people come here; that is the only thing they want to read about.

So, now you offer, for free, a few items. No questions, no replies, no learning....

The next guy comes along, and offers to sell his old mower for a few bucks.

The next guy comes & offers to sell 15 different implements, as well as 10 tractors. No questions, no replies, no learning. Just an ad.

The next guy comes & offers 'some sort of smut' site for only $5 a month.

Well, pretty soon, no one ever come here with any questions about farm implements, and no one ever comes here to answer any questions. The place is just a bunch of people offering to sell stuff. Blah.

The place would be ruined. I have seen that happen to many 'good' sites. Anyone go to www.farms.com any more for example?

So, where do we draw the line? You know, when you start allowing one little thing, then the next little step.... Where to draw the line?

Kim has a free area here on the web page where you can list things for sale (or give away I would imagine!). Maybe that would be a better place for your info.

Again, I think you mean well, and I am not bothered by your message.

Until the next guy comes along, with no question, no helpful reply, no...

My point would be quite obvious to most, while others just do not have a clue about tact & being polite, etc.

Thanks for asking, but like they say, if you have to ask, you wouldn't understand. :)
