You should be able to find one for between $20-$40 depending on whether or not it is a new aftermarket, new old stock, or used but serviceable. ANy place that has salvaged two cylinders will have them. The A,60,620,630,G,70,720 and 730 all used the same clutch cover, so it is not like there is a shortage. I am curious as to how and why the cover comes off in the field, however. The things do not wear out except for the possibility of developing holes, dents, or other damage. What usually happens is the adjusting bolts develope wear and begin to protrude past the end of the pulley face. Then when the clutch is operated, the cover is pushed off. Sometimes the cover gets driven over and bent, which is when most people decide they need a new one.

JD70,your question is a good one and got me to thinking.i remember hearing a metal to metal clicking noise when the cover came loose.the clutch is recently replaced and after looking at it with cover off it looks like the cotter pins are too long and is probably stiking the cover plate thereby helping push it off.the flange is rusted out in places and feel i still may need to replace.how important is the flange to keep it tight?thanks
