I have been looking for a 4 to 5 ft double throw drag (NOT 3 point) disk for behind my Farmall Super A. Have had no luck finding one local. So I am looking to build one. Does anybody have any plans for one? I want to be able to adjust the angle of cut. If I could find plans for a transport disk this size even better.

So has anyone ever built one??

I have simular problem, want a small disk for food plots in the woods. I find none in Michigan and wonder what would be fair price to offer if I do find one?

Those things are laying everywhere(if you are talking about 'drag' disks and not 'wheel' disks). Just look around in the old fence rows and trees as you drive around. Everyone used to have one, and now nobody uses them. I recently converted one to 3pt. and am considering getting the one from my neighbors trees and doing it again.

Just looked at one yesterday. In pretty decent shape, what little is wrong with it is easily repaired. Feller wanted too much for my taste ($250). It's in Maine, so I doubt you're interested, but if so, post back and I can put you in touch.

What width was it? How were the blades? Thanks for any information.

Didn't measure it, but it had 4 blades on each side (8 blades total width) on front and rear gangs. I'm guessing it'd cut about a 4 or 5 foot swath.

Bearings and housings were in good shape, all the scrapers were there and in good shape. Outer blade on right rear gang was cracked and had been welded, would need replacing. Frame around weight boxes had been neatly welded in a couple of places, one rock box needed straightening. Linkage between front and rear right gangs needed to be straightened or better, a new piece made, and a couple of bolts in the frame had been replaced with whatever happened to be in the bottom of the toolbox at the time. Angle adjuster worked good.

I've looked at a LOT of junk while trying to find a small enough disk for my F14 to pull, and I'da bought this one in a heartbeat if I could have talked him down to my budget range.

Hey Fawteen, in case I forgot to mention it, if you find a usable harrow of some sort that you don't have any use for I'd appreciate a shout. I sure could use one! You'd ought to see the weeds around where we plowed last spring!

Will do, Sparky! Something big enough for your Super M will be a little easier to find, I suspect, not so many wannabes with Cubs lookin' for 'em...
