how much hp do i need for a large round baler/haybine/discbine i am looking at a ih966 about 100 hp would this be enough

Most haybines & round balers start at 40-60 hp to run them, some of the bigger ones a bit more. Nice to have a bit of extra room.

Sounds like that will be a perfect tractor for you. Only thing to decide now is 540 or 1000 rpm for all the implements. :)

Joe,
100 horses should be fine. Check out the owner's manual for the implement. It should give the specs on it but 100 horses should be plenty.

Most people round here use a 4020 or simular and they only got 95 horses (and a mule)
