The discussion below about the relative rarity of 2 point implements makes me wonder how rare the McCormick (IH) two bottom rollover plow with 2 point hitch is that I have. The rollover is operated with a hydraulic ram. I don't know the model number of the plow; there is no sticker on it other than the one that says "McCormick". How can I find the model #, and how unusual is it? The plow was purchased in the early 1960's at the same time that we got a used Farmall 350D tractor. A #100 balance mower with 2pt was obtained at the same time. (That particular #100 is now kaput [roller bearing in head bad], but we recently got another.)

Don't know the number you are looking for, however the single furrow version of the roll over plow was a 189 with a letter in front to indicate whether plow was single point fast hitch for 130-140 etc or two point for the 230. We are talking of plows of same vintage and knowing IH practices on model numbers. Could be your plow is a 289, just a thought and a possibility.
