I have owned one of these for a number of years. Mine is an International version. The Case-IH version is the same. The Case-IH version would have been built 1985 or later. I think they are actually a New Idea machine rebadged by IH. Mine has been a good machine. I bought it used. I have had to replace the input shaft seal on the gearbox. (Because of long grass wrapping around the shaft} I fabricated a sheet metal gaurd to prevent that from happening again. I also changed mine over to stub {non-clog} gaurds. I've cut about 40 acres per year with it, for 7 or 8 years. The spring adjustment under the back of it needed a pipe extension welded over each spring rod end to be able to adjust the nut enough to get proper roll tension. If you can buy it right, I think you'll be happy with it!

Doug, It is an International model,I typed it wrong. My other question is how does the single acting cylinder work for my tractor? It is a 58 case 800. It has 1 set of remotes? Thanks.

I think you should be able to plug the hose into either remote port and it should work. I used to have a Case 930 and I don't remember having to do anything special to use the remote with a single acting cylinder. Your tractor manual should mention it if any adjustments are needed. You need hydraulic pressure to raise it. The weight of the machine lowers it. The cutting head is carried on skid plates under the machine, which are adjustable for the height of cut. Mine has a hydraulic swing tougue. In that case, there are 3 hoses and it requires 2 sets of remotes. Those were optional equipment. If you buy the machine, your local Case-IH dealer can order a manual for it.
