Howdy, My Granddad had a model 227 mounted corn picker on a 1950 A. Im restoring the A for FFA this winter and its just made me curious about the picker that was on it a long time ago. Im also wondering about how much it might be worth. the picker is in almost excelent condition. Sprockets are good, paints good, and the bearings are pretty good too. the serial # is 227-33288. thanks.

Steve, I'm not sure about the value of the picker, butI would guess its pretty low. Demand for mounted corn pickers is pretty low, so not too many people are buying them, thus price is low. I know it really deminishes the utility and functionality of the tractor, but I'd love to see a restored tractor with a restored picker on it. It would be tough to get all the sheet metal straight and looking good, but would be really cool. Just a thought. Good luck.

yeh mounted pickers are still used by some. i have one i need to get from a farmer. there is nothing cooler than a tractor with a mounted picker on it. makes me feel 5-10 years old again. would love to see an old ZB minnie with a new idea mounted and a trailing husking bed.with a box wagon with a false endgate!
