Does a PTO drive shaft used on a bush hog have a 'front' and 'rear' (ie one particular PTO drive shaft end that should connect to the bush hog and one particular PTO drive shaft end that should connect to the tractor PTO shaft). If so, how do you tell which is which??

Thanks

Yes. The end that goes to the tractor has a spring loaded pin to lock the shaft. this pin fits in the groove on the tractor pto shaft. Allso on all of my pto powered equipment the shaft toward the tractor is the male end, it slide inside the shaft that is on the implement.
