As you can see, somebody just took this seat and placed it there on the beaters. That's what caused so much confusion in the earlier picture I posted. This was just used as a lawn ornament. Looks like they had flower pots in it.

You never know. Might be there on porpose.
My Grandmother always said she loved mowing with a horse drawn mower. She said she loved the aroma of horse poot.
Ride on that one and you could smell like it all day!!!!

That seat ain't even attached to anything, it's just sitting on the beaters.
No doubt about it, if you're gonna ride around behind horses, you better not be allergic to the aroma. Like I always said, "A fartin hoss will never tire; a fartin man's the man to hire."

Yes, as I said below, it is a John Deere spreader. Wish I knew the model number, as I have one just like it, minus the seat (in either location) but in working condition.

If the front axle has steering like a wagon gear, it's a Model E. If the steering is fifth-wheel type under a gooseneck, it's an A or a B, which would make it REALLY old.

5th wheel, makes it tipsy, so it must really be old! :) Thanks. Use it every year. :)
