I was trying to come up with a way to do it.
Next year I will be hitting some far 0ff auctions.
100 + mi away. Looking for some baler deals.
I dont want to road trip old balers that far.
I had a heck of a time with blow outs on the ones I drug home this year.
I was thinking of making a set of wheels on a triangle the wheel would be at a point. Then flat steel on the oposite flat section. This could bolt to the axle with U bolts in side the wheel base to get on the trailer.
I dont own a trailer as yet so I will have to rent one of those bob cat trailers I think.
Its 8' at the wheels on my NH 68.
Just mullin some stuff.

If trailering a square baler, the simplest way I know is to load the baler on the trailer. Use blocks under the pickup side to raise it above the trailer wheels and fenders.Sometimes it helps to remove the tire on that side. To load the baler put the pickup side in a ditch and pull on with a log chain try to find a ditch deep enough where it will hold baler of trailer.

I used to have a 40 foot 100 inches wide trailer on farm, I used for equipment, round bales, etc. Once a local dealer got me to move some balers for him. These were used balers he was sending off to another dealer and were all makes. They will all set on the 100 inch deck. By setting them alternating between foreward and backwards, we had three balers and a small tractor on deck.

Here is what I was thinking.
I would attach 2 of thse to the axels so I could get it on a narower trailer.

I see! That would work I guess. I've seen some odd things at auction sales, how they load up stuff on trailers...

You could just invest in 2 good new implement rims & tires, take them along with a jack & wrench. Mount them, & pull it home. If you buy it, great, if not, you saved the hassle of hauling the trailer...

Naturally, then you will run into something old enough to not have standard imp hubs....

If they are close enough. I have new tires on rims. But It takes one heck of a long time to drive 100+ miles at 30 mph on the back roads.
I did that twice this last year and did not like it at all.
I would rather put them on a trailer and zip back home on the high way at 65 mph.

I took a 16' field cultivator 110 miles home 2 years ago, blew 1 tire. Got my round baler home this year, 95 miles. The worst ever was a disk I got from 20 miles, sloppy hitch, rear heavier than front, & short wheelbase. Couldn't get over 14 mph..... Ugh.

To tighten up hitches to take out whip use a come along or chain and boomer. Hook on your hitch around the clevis area and then on the frame toward the outer end, usually on the traffic side. When you tighten it up it will shift it to the of traffic side that way. This will remove the slop in the hitch so it won't whip.

Kind of like a auto tow dolly, but the whole unit will be towed. You would need some have duty axles to support the weight. If you do build it, take some pictures..
