I have a few questions. I would like to build a fan to load my tractors with. I think that i have enough stuff around to build one. I just need some specifics if anyone has some good pictures i would like those. I wanna know are the paddles rigid or are the loose and stand up as it spins. Also some good ways to attach them to a shaft. And finally a creative way to quickly change pulleys and what to build pulleys out of. Thanks

Just a wild idea here, but something like an ensilage blower with the hopper/intake closed off and partially filled w/water??Or maybe a hydraulic disk brake on the PTO shaft.
(My thinkin gets skewed from time to time....lol)

The paddles are rigidly fixed to a revolving frame.Usually 5 paddles-like a star pattern when viewed from the side.
I'll try to find a picture, but as far as the dimensions for the paddles-I don't know how big they are.Too small it won't work right and too big it won't work the way it should either.
I'll dig around my steam engine manuals and see if I can come up with some dimensions.
