I am thinking of purchasing one of the above to use on my 9N. Haven't seen it yet,but supposedly it's in working order. Would be interested in hearing from anyone with experience with one of these and would like to know where to get the manuals etc. Thanks in advance & Happy Holidays to you'all. Ron

You can get manuals from " N Newsletter " I think there is a link from the N board.

I never used one but saw one at a show mounted on a 9n. Seemed very handy. I have a front mounted Sauder snowplow on my Ferguson 40. One thing that's different when using a front mounted plow as opposed to one that mounts on the 3 pt. is that the weight of the plow hanging over the front axle reduces the weight on the rear tires. You end up with less traction. I plan on filling a 55 gallon drum with cement and mounting it on the 3 pt for more traction. It sure is a lot nicer than craning your neck to plow in reverse. You have more gear choices going forward too. Good luck if you decide to go with it.

I have a dearborn plow on a Ford 2000 (3cyl.). The plow is effective on fresh snow to about a foot deep, but any more than that I have not enough tractor to get rid of the snow without the problems of loss of traction and not cutting all the snow.
