4-bottom plow

one more question,i have a 4 bottom semi mount
and was wondering(i'm not sure what they are called.)on top of the mold boards there is these pieces yhat aid in turning over the dirt.on my model 60 they are steel and on my model 450? they are a hard plastic.can you still buy them?
if so where?thanks in advance,max

Yep, they are coverboards..... ..We have to have the steel versions since rocks make quick work out of the plastic jobs on cool spring mornings. We buy ours from out local IH dealer.

What you have are "Coverboards"....originals were steel, after-market was sometimes plastic..both work good... You don't have to worry about "Scouring" the plastic ones...!!!! You must not let the steel ones get any rust on them, or they can be a "Pain" to get slick enough to work well...!!! Try "TSC", they probably still can get them.... TSC's were "Universal"...you have to pick the brackets that come, and figure out how to mount them..enough is included to get them solidly mounted....
