Y'all...I recently bought some implements, and the seller threw in a Ferguson side-delivery rake for free. He had been asking $30 as it needs work, but as I bought a sickle mower and slip, he just gave me the rake.I checked for an ID plate and found it, but it's been weathered and scuffed so that I can't read some of the information. Here's what I see... "Type" is a letter followed by two pairs of numbers separated by dashes. The letter looks like either a "D" or "O" but I can tell for sure. The first pair of numbers is pretty obscured, but could be "76" or maybe "70" though I'm not even sure of the "7". The second pair of numbers is pretty clear and I am fairly sure it is "20". This is followed by what I assume is a serial number since it is stamped in later, rather than stamped when the plate was manufactuured. That number is 0717. The rake is painted blue, and I'm guessing that's the original color. It has two swivel mounted wheels - one near either end of the rake and is 3-pt/PTO driven. The rake needs a fair amount of work, so I'm trying to find out if it's a good enough rake to be worth the effort. I need a rake for grass hay come next spring, and if this one doesn't seem worth fixing so it can be used, I'll need to find another. Once I find out a little more about it, I'll have other questions regarding repair, if it seems worth doing. Thanks!
