Here it is. It's parked in a bad spot for photographs....sun is behind it this time of year.

The tag says it's a DEO-25 with serial number 002136. It also says it was made by "Massey-Harris-Ferguson" which means it must have been built after the merger (1957?)

I have a friend in the sign business that says if I get him a good digital pic and some dimensions, he can duplicate this logo onto a decal. I'll do that before I start removing paint and rust.

Here are the two styles of teeth keepers. The shiny one is the new one I got from the Massey dealer by requesting a keeper for a MF 36 rake. The one on the right is the old original. They both work.

Here is my MF 36 rake for comparison. It looks like there are lots of interchangeable parts. Keepers, teeth, end wheels, bars, and basket ribs at the very least.

Jim...Thanks! I'll take those home and compare. Right off the top, the wheels that the bars mount to on your 25 are solid, while mine are open spokes. The framework on your 25 looks a lot more like mine - definitely not goose-neck like your 36. I don't see a decal on mine. Also, can't tell from your pics if it has 2 pivot wheels in the back or just one - mine has 2. My ID plate looks similar, but I'll have to go back and look and compare - didn't really notice if it said "Massey-Harris-Ferguson" or otherwise - was concentrating on the model number.

I pulled out my 35 mm camera that just came out of storage and looked like film in it, so took it out over the weekend to get some pics - figured I'd do the 1-hour processing at Costco on Sunday, scan on my scanner and post them over the weekend. Finished out the roll, but winding felt funny. Processed and found the roll blank. It had been in storage for about a year and a half, so don't know if the film was just started and pulled off or what. Will get a new roll in and get some pics this week.

Thanks again...it's encouraging to see what it should look like.

I've seen the open spoke design and I suspect it's an early design. I'm sure enough people experienced the broken spoke problem yours has had and so they went with a more solid design. I'm betting your tag will say Harry Ferguson LTD rather than Massy-Harris-Ferguson.

Mine does have the two trailing wheels. The tires on them were shot and I didn't have time to find replacements, so I robbed some wheels and tires off an old Ford rake that I have. They were the same size. I still have the original wheels off the Ferguson rake and they may make it back on some day.
