Although the Ford Baler line is not considered top shelf, you will find a 532 baler more than capable of making great bales reliabily. The Ford line ceased when Ford bought New Holland and of course their name brand in the hay business was second to none. You will find the 532 to be an easy baler to operate with a 30+ hp tractor and capable of baling more hay in a day than I want to load manualy. The parts I have needed have been available and comparable to any NH part in price so if the baler looks in decent shape and the price is reasonable then it is worth the risk in my opinion. Course I AM biased and do own a Ford 530 baler.

I had a 532 PTO baler 12 years ago. It was a
good unit with average capacity. My only complaint
was it had a short tongue so turning short was a
bit of a problem. At the time, most all parts and
the manual were available. I would guess parts
would be a problem today. That 532 could bale
keep right up with a neighbors JD 336. Value must
be quite low as they stopped making them in 1981.
If you can buy it right and use it as a disposable unit, then it might be worth a gamble.
