Father still has in tool shed front mount cultivator he used from early 50's on his "M". Also a 10 foot pull-type disk with wheels from that era. He worked up the garden with it until 5 years ago. Also a 5 foot mower (Bush Hog maybe). Just wondering if he could get anything for them at an auction here in west central Indiana.

We have a local free paper here where lots of farm equip. is sold. I use pull type implements ans they are getting harder to find all the time. A few years ago there were pull types everywhere. Auctions are iffy if you can't reserve. The mower if in working condition about +\- 200.00. Disc about the same and cultivator slightly more. If you were close I'd come take a look. Don't give your stuff away though. Just Farmman's 2 cents.

I would agree with TomA. Auctions are pretty iffy. If there are 2 or more people there that want a particular item, they will bid it up. If there is only one person there who wants it, it goes cheap. First I think I would decide on what I thought I wanted for each piece and put an ad in the local paper. Interested people will look at them and probably try to bargain down the price. But at least you will find out the interest and maybe a buyer at the price you want.

Farm and equipment auctions are funny things. I've seen fairly valuable pieces go for $1 at some auctions, and similar pieces in worse condition go for $400. I've got a friend who is a long-time auctioneer who says "you just never know."

But my guess would be you can get a few hundred for what you described at a suitable, well-advertised auction. You might also try posting them on here on the YT ads (link is on upper left part of this page.) first and see if you get any "bites," or even ebay. good luck,
Tom

good luck,
Tom A

I would say 'a few hundred EACH'.
