What's the biggest rotary cutter I could pull behind a Ford 3000 diesel? I don't mean a brush hog, I'm talking like a drag mower (I think that's what there called) It's got live hydraulics, could it pull a bat wing mower? Many thanks

Thanks, I figured that would be asking a little too much for such a small tractor. The motor's fresh. Just went through it top to bottom, new injec. pump too. I don't want to kill it and will be cutting pasture grass that's pretty clean or will be when I'm through with it. I'll mow around what ever rough forage there is and have it root raked or killed.

omly if mowing a yard once a week and nothing heavier could you handle a batwing. 8' will be more than a Ford 3000 handle in heavy coarse grass, small trees etc. So first need to know what you are wanting to mow or cut.

I have pulled a 15 foot batwing with a 5000 Ford
Believe me it was all she wanted in foot high pasture grass. Also you have to have extra remote hydrolics to raise wings and center
I would think a 8 foot drag would be all a 3000 would want even if in top shape
