I planted two one ac strips of silage sorgum to block off the view of a house that over looks my hunting field. It worked well and the deer beded down in it in the fall. But this spring I want to remove it and plant some more. What is the best way to cut it down. I have a 6ft brush hog but think it might be to think for it and make more of a mess. A friend sugested that i burn it and then plow it under. An ac is a lot to burn with no acess to water to control. ANY THOUGHTS ON THIS SUBJECT.

Ok. Thanks guys I will give the brush hog a try. I planted it pretty think but got out to look at it today and most is broken to the ground so it might not be so bad. Thanks again.

I plant sorghum also, for some of same reasons, and I always bush hog it and then plow it under.

It would be better for the soil to bush hog or disc the stalks down and then plow it under.
