I have a Woods bros. deerborn single row corn picker model 16-4 want to repaint it. Looks like it was all red but not sure.can anyone help me on this thanks Larry Pete.

The model No. tells me that it is a picker made after Dearborn took over Wood Bros. After 1948, they were all the Dearborn (Same Red as tractors) Red. No bare, galvanized, steel used in production, the writer is thinking of New Idea. If you go back a bit older, 1937-1947 they were all the 9N-2N Grey, that is what I have and the same auction I bought mine at they also had a newer all red picker

Maybe theywere all red, its been 40 yrs since we had ours, but it seems as if the tin parts were left tin and not painted and perhaps just the iron and cast parts were pianted red. Of course, abut 7 yrs later I had a NI one orw picker and of course that was the way it was other than being green, so maybe my minds (that thats left) is playing tricks on me

yes they were all red all i have ever seen unless someone repainted them a different color.
