Recently picked up an old Dearborn (Ford) drop seeder/fertilizer. Similar to the Ezee-Flow. It also has a grass box on the back. Both the seeder and the grass box have ID tags on them. It gives a model # of 801 for each. The seeder has another number of 20-9 and the grass box has 20-11. The seeder is in fantastic condition with no rust or anything. However, the moving parts on the seed box are rusted and frozen. Plan to plant 20 acres in alfalfa/orchard grass with a nurse crop of oats. Sure would be nice to get the grass box going. Is anyone familiar with this unit or where can find info or parts?

I've got the manuals for all my old Dearborn and Ford implements from New Holland--they sell reprints reasonably. I think most manuals have run me $5-$10 each, and they take about 2 weeks to arrive.

New Holland pubs are at 800-635-4913

New Holland has also been able to offer almost all the parts I've needed, although sometimes the prices are crazy...usually pretty reasonable, though.
