I need the spring that goes on the brakeaway linkage and the rod that runs through the spring.
Any idea where I may find one? FNH no longer services these parts. Thanks.

Do you mean the spring & rod that help lift the bar? I'm not aware of any other spring & rod on my 501 - but there are different setups for hooking on to different tractors, so you might have something unlike mine. My break away is really just a latch?

I did buy one of those threaded rods new a few years ago - haven't used it yet.

I dont have a manuel on the 501 mower. I am planning to use it on my 8N The brake-away is a latch. My mistake. It is the ballance spring that hooks to the bellcrank underneath.
