I have a set of 2 bottom 2 point hitch plows that have the thick(wide) tongs that fit my 240 perfectly can anyone help me with a model #.

I am thinking that 2 bottoms with wide tongs should probably have been made in a short run i.e. 1957-1964?

You most likely have a C20 plow. IH had some other designations lik FC2-20, etc, but mine says C20 right on it and the original manual that came with it also says C20. Mine was found with a 53 Super C, but I use it with my 57 230. Hope this helps. BobG in VA

Actually that plow would have been produced from 1953 onward probably to mid 60s. The plow itself is the same as the small fork used on Super C, 200 and 230. The single point used on 100, 130 and 140 are same plow. Even some of IH 3 point hitch plows were same The only part different is the hitching pull beam. Different model numbers were used for each hitching system. This one escapes my memory on actual numbers. My thoughts are 2 digets were same on all, a letter defined hitch and 1,2 or 3 for number of bottoms. The ones exactly like yours with large forks would only go back to beginning of 300 production. They may only have been a letter and two numbers. The numbers 26 and 36 ring a bell and would have been 2 and 3 bottom respectively, and I think there was a single letter for type of hitch. I have been about 3/4 hour on this and going through books I have, hoping to find these numbers. Maybe what I said will jog someone else memory. If I find more I will get back to you.
